Of Model DDZY217C-Z Single Phase Smart Prepaid Electronic Meter

1.    General

The quotation for our IC card prepayment meter is USD37/unit, FOB Hong Kong.



Model DDZY217C-Z Single phase smart prepaid electronic meter is designed and manufactured by adopting the advanced ultralow power consumption solid integrated technology and surface mounting technology(SMT) techniques, and it is used for measuring the active energy in the Alternating Current single phase electric grip with rated frequency of 50Hz.

It adopts the hard-hitting special integrated circuit of energy meter, nonvolatile memory and LCD display, etc.. It can realize the following functions:
A.   Measuring of active energy in singe phase circuit
B.   Collection of data via RS485
C.   Collection of data via Infrared Communication
D.   Presetting
E.   Billing of meter
F.    Etc.

It meets the communication protocol of DL/T-645-2007: Communication Protocol for Multifunction Meter.

It adopts the anti-interference measures of multi-software and hardware to guarantee that the meter can operate reliably, and the relevant departments of power authorities can conveniently carry out the business operation of automated management.

It is the present best choice for realizing the measuring of single tariff energy for civil and commercial purpose in China.

3.2  Power consumption
As for voltage circuit:
At reference voltage, reference temperature and reference frequency, under no communication condition, the active power and apparent power consumption in the voltage circuit of meter will not be more than 1.5W and 10VA, and under the communication condition, the active power and apparent power consumption will not be more than 3W and 12VA.

As for current circuit:
At basic current, reference temperature and reference frequency, the apparent power consumption in the current circuit of meter will not be more than 1VA.

Operating life: >10 years.

4.    Working principle

It adopts the special single phase multifunction metering chip to realize the accurate measuring of active energy in single phase alternating current circuit, and let the microprocessor read and collect the energy and store the energy into the nonvolatile memory. It can realize the billing and controlling of meter via RS485, infrared communication and CPU electric card. The inside nonvolatile memory adopts the ferroelectric memory to guarantee the consumed energy data can be kept more than 10 years after the system is power outage.

5. Direction for use
5.1 Indicator lamp
A. Pulse indicator lamp: The red pulse indicator lamp will flash one time when the meter measures each pulse of active energy.
B. Alarm indicator lamp: The red alarm indicator lamp will light continuously when the meter alarms.
C. Tripping indicator lamp: The yellow tripping indicator lamp will light when the load switch of meter breaks.

5.2 Display of data
5.2.1 The display is the backlit LCD display. The awaking methods for the back light are the following two methods:
A. Awaking by pressing the button;
B. Awaking by inserting the electric card

5.2.2 The display methods are the following two methods:
A.  Automatic circular display
B. Circular display by pressing the button

5.2.3 If no operation again, the back light of LCD display will automatically turn off 60s later after the backlit display is lighted by pressing the button or by inserting the electric card. If the backlit display is lighted by infrared communication, the back light will automatically turn off after two periods of automatic circular display of meter. Under the condition of awaking by pressing the button, the LCD display will return to the mode of automatic circular display 30s later if no operation again.

5.2.4 The LCD display is with 6 integrals and 2 decimals. The unit is kWh.

5.2.5 When the following conditions are happened, the LCD display will show the relevant code or the meter will alarm to hint, and the back light of LCD will light continuously and the LCD display of meter will show the following relevant information:

5.3 Automatic circular display and display by pressing the button
The meter is with the automatic circular display and display by pressing the button, and it can carry out the circular display and the display by pressing the button as per the requirements of customers.

6. Basic function
6.1 Freezing function
A. Timing freezing: It can freeze the appointed energy data according to the appointed time and time interval. Each timing freezing energy data will  be kept at least 12 times.
B. Instantaneous freezing: At the abnormal condition, it can freeze the present calendar, time, all the energy data and important measuring data, and store the last three times’ data.
C. Daily freezing: It can store the energy data at zero o’clock per day and store the data of last 62 days.

6.2 Measuring function
A. Measuring unit: kWh for active energy
B. Measuring capability: 999999.99kWh
C. It can measure the positive active energy, negative active energy, combination active energy and store the energy data into the nonvolatile memory.
D. It can store the total energy of last 12 times’ billing days and the single tariff energy. The dividing line time of data store is at 24:00 o’clock on the end of the each month, or at the integral point of the day from 1 to 28 of every month.

6.3 Event log
A. It can permanently record the energy information of energy-reset event.
B. It can record the total times of programming and time of calibration, the time of programming and time of calibration of last ten times, the code of operator and the data code of programming items.

6.4 Function for controlling the charges.
A. It adopts the local method to realize the function of controlling the charges via CPU card.
B. When the residual charges is less than the presetting alarming charges, the meter will remind the users. The overdraft charges can be recorded timely. When the overdraft charges is less than the presetting overdraft threshold charges, the meter will generate the power off signal to control the load switch to cut off the power supply. When the residual charges are more than the presetting charges, the meter can be under the allowable non-tripping condition via the remote or local method, and then the restoration of power supply can be done manually by the users.
C. Prepaid charges will superpose accurately into the residual charges inside the meter, and at the same time, the relevant information, such as the residual charges, the consumed energy parameters of meters and so on, will be written into the CPU card.

8.    Installation

8.1 The meters shall be qualified and sealed after examination before they leave the manufactory.
8.2 The meter will be installed within the meter box for using. The mounting bottom board for the meter shall be fixed to a solid, fireproof wall. The meter is recommended to be installed in a height about 1.8 meters above sea level. In the air there does not exist corrosive gas which could damage the meter.
8.3 The meter should be wired as per the wiring diagram shown on the terminal block cover. It is better to use the copper wire or copper joint for connection.

9. Transportation and Storage
7.1 The meters shall not be shocked during the transportation and unpacking.
7.2 The meter stored should be with the original packing box, and the ambient temperature shall be 0 ~400C. The relative humidity shall not exceed 85%, in the atmosphere there does not exist substance that could corrode the meter.
7.3 The meter shall be placed on the rack and stack one on top of another for the purpose of storage in the warehouse. But the height of stacked cardboard boxes shall not exceed 5 layers. The stacked height of the storage of meters only with inside packing box shall not exceed 5 Pcs.

10. Warranted period
The users shall follow the operation instructions. If the meter is found not to meet the requirements mentioned by us within 18 months from the day that the meter left the manufactory and meter is not sealed off, the manufacturer shall repair or replace it free of charge.
